Adjunct Faculty in Biology
Description
The Biology Department at 香蜜影视 invites applications for an adjunct professorship to begin January 2024. The department is seeking an individual with a strong commitment to inclusive pedagogies in science as well as enthusiasm for the environment of a small student-centered university. The successful candidate will have expertise in Genetics and must be able to teach lab-based courses.
Primary responsibilities include
- Teaching 200-level Genetics lecture and lab.
- Using and/or developing suitable laboratory course materials in conjunction with current faculty
Course Description
- BIOL 222: GENETICS Lecture and lab: The study of genetic principles, including Mendelian inheritance and gene regulation, in a variety of different organisms. The ethical and practical implications of genetic research and the genetic basis of disease are focal points of the course. Students develop problem-solving ability and conduct genetic experiments using classical and molecular methods. Credits: 4 / Prerequisites: BIOL 111.

- MS in Biology or related discipline required, PhD preferred (or active enrollment in a graduate program).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
