Maria Craig, assistant professor of chemistry Received an Undergraduate Faculty Travel Award to present a poster, “Thermodynamic Characterization of the Interaction Between the Antimicrobial Peptide LL-37 and DNA Oligonucleotides,” at the annual meeting of the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in April.��Four Mary Baldwin students will accompany her to present posters co-authored by Maira Craig, Paul Deeble, or Karl Zachary.

	Janet Ewing, associate professor of business Attended the International Board meeting of Sigma Beta Delta, the International Honor Society for Business, Management, and Administration, January, San Diego, California — she serves as a member of the International Board of Directors as well as president and advisor of the Mary Baldwin Chapter. Presented a workshop entitled, “Designing a Dynamic Chapter,” for chapter advisors from around the world.
��	Daniel Metraux, professor of Asian studies A review essay, “Religion and Politics in Contemporary Japan: Soka Gakkai Youth and Komeito,” the Winter 2014 issue of The Journal of Japanese Studies.An article, “Chronicles of life in Augusta County and Staunton during the Early Days of Settlement,” as well as several book reviews, the 2013 issue of the Augusta County Historical Bulletin.
