World-renowned percussionist Krishnan will join Assistant Professor of Spanish Brenci Patino and Professor of Music Lise Keiter at 6:30 p.m. October 6聽in the Spencer Center to explore the diverse musical traditions and overlapping themes from Son Jarocho in Veracruz to percussion in India. His annual聽Global Rhythms concert will be held at 7:30听辫.尘.听辞苍听October 10聽Francis Auditorium.
Argentine artist and activist Bernardi will speak about her latest project involving the Mary Baldwin community at 7 p.m. October 14 in Francis Auditorium. 鈥淭he Tree of Life: the Crossing of a Fractured Border鈥 will focus on the 聽completed during May Term聽by 聽detained, undocumented immigrant Central American youths, The School of Art and Open Studio of Perquin / Walls of Hope in El Salvador,聽and students and faculty from Mary Baldwin.
