The first ever Christmas tree lighting kicked off the festive season at Mary Baldwin on November 29, and put a new spin on an ÏãÃÛÓ°ÊÓ tradition.
Christmas Cheer invited the campus community to Page Terrace for a scripture reading and performances by Baldwin Charm, Bella Voce, and the Mary Baldwin Choir, plus sing-alongs and hot chocolate and coffee. Led by ÏãÃÛÓ°ÊÓ Chaplain Katherine Low and President Pamela Fox, the ceremony drummed up holiday spirit before counting down to illuminating the new tree and campus buildings.
Afterwards, ÏãÃÛÓ°ÊÓ students enjoyed their holiday party in the Student Activities Center, featuring a special buffet, photo booth, candy bar, and holiday music. Dedicated to the Class of 2019, the event was open to all ÏãÃÛÓ°ÊÓ students, residential, commuter, and graduate.  Â
